NRC Has Immediacy As People Living Under Majerhat Bridge Are Bangladeshi: Dilip


Kolkata: West bengal Bharatiya Janata Party president Dilip Ghosh on Friday gave a reason to implement NRC in West Bengal.

He just held the press conference after Mamata Banjee completed meeting with the officials on Majerhat bridge collapse at Nabanna. He said “Those who are living under Majerhat bridge are Bangladeshi so National Registration of Citizens (NRC) has an immediacy in Bengal. It is important for their deportation from India.”

Mamata Banerjee said that the passage inder the bridge has to get evacuated. 20 bridges in the city are in bad condition. Not only Majerhat bridge, Sealdah bridge, Dhakuria bridge, Bijan Setu, Brace Bridge and many more are in risky condition.

Replying to the evacuation of under passage of the bridge Dilip ghosh said, “People living under the bridge are Bangladeshi so NRC has an immediacy in Bengal to deport them from India. The NRC list announced 40 lakh as illegal infiltrators where Mamata Banerjee raised the voice against it.”

Previously, Mamata Banerjee harshly criticised BJP president Amit Shah over the draft NRC list of Assam published in 31st July. Speaking from Nabanna, the state secretariat, Mamata said while attacking Amit Shah that, “Do Amit Shah’s Father Have Certificate?” So Dilip Ghosh added another feather to the ruling -opposition fight.
