Amritsar: Afghanistan’s Ambassador to India Shaida Mohammad Abdali on Saturday said that the Heart of Asia Declaration will strongly condemn all forms of terror and will not differentiate between terror groups. Speaking to the envoy said all member countries have agreed that the fight against terrorism must intensify as it was a question of survival not only of Afghanistan, but of the entire region.

Abdali also agreed with India’s stand that talks and terror cannot go together. He said, “There is no doubt that finding a solution cannot only be through military activities, but I understand that talks and terror cannot go on forever. This phenomenon has to end. That we have talks and then terror is a phenomenon which is increasing everyday”.
The Afghan envoy said that his country stands with India on the issue of cross border terror. When asked about PM Modi’s statement that the epicenter of terrorism is in the neighborhood he said, “There is no doubt about terrorism in the region and about cross border terror affecting India and Afghanistan, the solution is in the region and we have to bring peace to Afghanistan and the region”.
