New Delhi: After a massive row ensued over the government’s statement in parliament that it has no idea where Dawood is, Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday claimed that there is no confusion on the whereabouts of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.
“There is no confusion on Dawood. We will try to clarify tomorrow; if not, then on Monday in Parliament,” Rajnath told reporters in New Delhi.
Questioning the veracity of India’s dossiers on the underworld don, Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Basit told in an interview for Headlines Today, “Honestly speaking that was quite disquieting and disconcerting from our perspective and frankly that calls for some introspection. If you prepare dossiers on the basis of self-serving information, than we have every reason to be worried. Our worries are justified.”
Basit also said that coments by Minister of State for Home Haribhai Parathibhai Chaudhary in parliament on Tuesday justified Pakistan’s worries on the issue and asserted India has not placed any formal request with Islamabad for Dawood’s extradition.
