Kolkata: The passengers are facing great difficulty as the auto drivers decided to not ply their autos on Thursday morning at the Tollygunge-Chowrasta route. As a result, the passengers faced problems during the office hours. It is being alleged that those drivers who are running their autos, are taking full opportunity of the situation and demanding hiked fares from the passengers.
The auto drivers decided to not run their autos in the 12A route due to the death of an union leader. For this reason, just few auto drivers were running their autos. But maximum kept out of the streets. Those which ran demanded more money and they also asked passengers to reserve the autos and demanded from Rs 100 to Rs 250. To avoid this, they were compelled to board full-packed buses.
