Suri: The state government has already banned any armed rallies during Ram navami. The festival will be celebrated across the country on Sunday, March 25.
But Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also said that those who have been performing Ram navami for long time, will only be allowed to carry arms in the rally. Mamata also ordered Cops to make a route map for this procession.
On Tuesday, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that no arms would be allowed in processions marking Ram Navami. Addressing an administrative meeting in Bolpur, Banerjee asked the police to intensify vigil and peace be maintained.
Mamata Banerjee has asked the police to be on alert. “Do not neglect any communal incident. Attend to it,” she continued. Mamata told that only some old organisations will have the permissions to take rally during Ram Navami. CM alerts cops in this rally and asked to keep vigilence on the day in the accident prone area.
