New Delhi: The Delhi High Court is likely to pronounce its sentence over an appeal made by Uttar Pradesh politician DP Yadav’s son Vikas Yadav and two others, challenging the sentence. His conviction in the murder case has already been upheld.

The court has been hearing arguments on the punishment to be awarded to the three convicts since April 2014 after they have been awarded capital punishment on December 8 last year.

It is to be noted that The High Court on April 02 2014 upheld the verdict of the lower court describing the crime as honour killing .

On the other, Neelam Katara mother of Nitish Katara and the Delhi Police have demanded capital punishment for the trio.
