Colombo: Bangladesh beat Sri Lanka by five wickets in the third game of the Nidahas Trophy in Colombo. After being asked to bat, Sri Lanka rode on Kusal Perera’s 74 and Kusal Mendis’ 30-ball 57 to post 214/6.
In reply, Bangladesh’s innings was anchored by Mushfiqur Rahim’s 35-ball 72 as they sealed the deal with two balls to spare.
Sri Lanka were 98/1 after first 10 overs and took 116 in the next 10. Kusal Mendis and Kusal Perera scored fifties as Sri Lanka ended with 214 for 6. No Bangladesh bowler had an economy rate of less than 7.5.
