Kolkata: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Saturday submitted supplementary charge-sheet in Khagragarh bomb blast case against two accused.
The NIA submitted chargesheet against Habibul Hak and Enamul Mollah for allegedly providing place for hiding to leaders of Jamat Ul Mujahideen(JMB). The NIA submitted the charge-sheet on Saturday to Chief Justice of City Sessions Court Suvra Ghosh.
The NIA have mentioned in the charge-sheet that Habibul who hails from North 24 Parganas’ Basirhat and Enamul from South 24 Parganas’ Maheshtala helped the accused to hide. Both are active members of JMB. They used to bring the accused to the house. Even the neighbours did not know that bombs were being made in the house. The explosion blew the roof off the building. They took active part in setting up Jihadi training centres even after October 2014’s bomb blasts in Khagragar.
Sanjiv Kumar Singh, IG of NIA said, “Just before the beginning of the Khagragarh Explosion case, this is likely to be our last or final charge-sheet.”
The incident took place on October 2, 2014 when a bomb went off killing two people. The State government had ordered CID inquiry. The NIA later took over the investigation. In the first charge-sheet 28 accused were named while in the supplementary charge sheet the names of two accused were mentioned. The police arrested some members of Jamat Ul Mujahideen (Bangladesh). The court will consider framing of charges against them on June 4.
