NIA In Kolkata Probing Fake Passport Case


Kolkata: NIA has reached Baguihati in Kolkata on saturday to probe the case of fake Passport arrest, said police.

Police had busted a major fake passport racket in Kolkata on Wednesday night. A special team of CID department conducted a raid at a hideout in Baguiati area and arrested two youths named as Surajit Dutta and Chittaranjan Rana.

The duo is believed to be part of a fake passport racket as several passports belonging to people in Punjab’s Gurdaspur, Jalandhar have been seized from them. Police is suspecting pathankot links in his case.

Several ISI agents have so far landed in police net in Kolkata. Cops had earlier nabbed a woman named Tusi Das, involved in the racket, from Murshidabad. During interrogation she revealed the names of Debraj Dutta, Ziauddin, Sahel and Saraswati’s name leading to their arrest. Today’s raid came after the arrested revealed the hideout ion the city. A probe has been launched to ascertain any possible terror links.
