London: Former Manchester United manager and the celebrated football icon Alex Ferguson hopes Neymar would be the next one who’ll produce the type of talent people see in Lionel Messi and Christiano Ronaldo. But he has also opined that the Brazilian has a long way to go in order to achieve that kind of a feat.
Ferguson feels that if the present situation is considered, there is no one at the moment to match the skills of Messi and Ronaldo.
The former United boss believes that Messi and Ronaldo are out there on their own and have no immediate threat to their status as the best on the planet and although Neymar has been touted as a contender to the Argentine and the Portuguese, Ferguson claims that the Brazilian has yet to justify the hype around him, reported an international daily.
The coaching great said that certainly, most people he speaks to speak highly of Neymar, adding that when he had Anderson at United, he spoke volumes about the boy’s ability.
So, Ferguson added that hopefully Neymar would be the next one who’ll produce the type of talent they see in Messi and Ronaldo.
