Digha: Railways Minister Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu will flag off as many as three new trains during his visit to Kolkata. West Bengal’s main tourist spot Digha will get another EMU local from tomorrow. This EMU starts between Panskura and Digha. Digha visitors may fell happy in this New Year.
Eastern Railway Chief Public Relations Officer Sanjay Ghosh on Thursday said the Minister will flag off the Howrah-Yesvantpur Weekly AC Express, Howrah-Pune Suvidha AC Express and the Panskura-Digha EMU (by remote) tomorrow.
The Minster is also expected to announce a number of new trains and also extend a number of existing suburban services up to different locations from Howrah Station, New Complex.
This apart, programmes like Mobile App for paperless unreserved ticket booking of suburban trains of Eastern Railway will be opened by the Railways Minister and Green Energy Initiatives and Energy Efficient Measures in Stations & AC Rakes at Metro Railway, Kolkata.
Mr Prabhu will visit here to participate in the Bengal Global Summit beginning tomorrow, an initiative by the Mamata Banerjee government to attract investment for industries.UNI PC PL RJ AS1806
