New train from Santragachi to Jhargram

Howrah: A new train has been introduced between Santragachi and Jhargram on Thursday The train was flagged off by a remote from Delhi by Suresh Prabhu. Prabhu has said that the new train will support the downtrodden class in terms of education and other facilities. It is for the first time that Jhargram is getting connected to Kolkata directly. At 2.30 pm on Thursday, there were quite a few divisional officials from the Eastern Railway were present at Santragachi to witness the inauguration programme. Prasun Banerjee was also invited to the occasion.

The MEMU train will run five days a week. It will start from Santragachi at 6.35 am and reach Jhargram at 9.35 am and it will leave Jhargram at 9.50 am to reach Santragachi at 12.35 pm. It will stop at all the stations providing a huge facility to the office goers during the busy hours.
