Mumbai: The immensely popular TV show “Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma” recently underwent a tragic moment when the real Taarak Mehta died on Wednesday at the age of 87. The team immediately decided to shoot a special episode dedicated to the late columnist and playwright.
Now, the TV show is in the news again as Bhavya Gandhi aka Tapu has reportedly left the show. Although, the makers haven’t spoken about the reason behind Bhavya’s sudden disappearance, they have confirmed that Tapu’s role will now be played by Raj Anadkat.
Raj is a 19-year-old college boy who hails from Mumbai and reportedly, he is very much excited about his role as Tapu.
Speaking to the media, the actor reportedly said “I had been watching the show and I have seen Tapu growing up into a young adult. This character is very strong and positive. I am grateful that Asit Ji has given me this chance.”
Buzz has it that Raj will be introduced on Tapu’s birthday on the show. The episode will air next week and in the meanwhile, the makers are planning a few changes on the show.
Asit Kumarr Modi, the creator of the show said, “I plan to focus on Tapu Sena’s college track in the upcoming episodes.”
