Kolkata: To encourage the workers in the forthcoming Panchayat elections in West Bengal, the state unit of BJP organized an emergency meeting on Tuesday. State BJP leaders and Central leaders were present there in the meeting. Keeping Panchayat elections on mind, BJP leaders may announce something big at the end of the meeting.
According to BJP sources, organisational changes may take place at the end of the meeting. The meeting was held in state BJP office to train state BJP workers for the upcoming elections. It was also heard that West Bengal BJP observer might have changed and Central leaders may give some instructions to election workers.
Earlier, state BJP organised a “minority conference” in Kolkata on January 11 to reach out to the minority communities ahead of the panchayat polls scheduled next year.
The conference attended by state BJP’s minority members and supporters, which was addressed by the party’s central minority cell president Abdul Rasheed Ansari and state president Dilip Ghosh as well as party leader Mukul Roy.
