New-Born Missing From Medical College And Hospital Creates Disruption


Kolkata: A four day old infant was allegedly missing from Kolkata Medical College and Hospital on Tuesday. Boubazar Police started investigation on the new-born missing case.

Saraswati Naskar, resident of Ultadanga’s Bagmari road gave birth of a boy on Friday. She was admitted to the Eden building after her delivery.

The family alleged that, a nurse of the delivery ward took the infant on Tuesday by saying that the baby needs vaccination. After that she didn’t return the newborn to her mother. This creates panic amongst the family members and they started blaming the doctors and nurses of Kolkata Medical College and Hospital for the negligence.

When the family members started asking about their baby hospital authorities ignored the matter completely. Then Saraswati’s family started complaining against the hospital authorities. They also asked to check the CCTV footage, but as per hospital authorities the hospital CCTV was not working from last few days.

Robi Naskar, father-in-law of Saraswati also complained that after Sarawasti’s Caesar hospital authorities forced them to keep a care-taker. They didn’t even allow anyone to meet her after the crucial delivery operation.

The hospital authorities did not pay any attention to Saraswati’s family after so many disruptions. Super of Kolkata Medical College and hospital said that they informed everything to the health official.

The whole incident panicked other patients. They felt unsafe there and wanted to walk out from the hospital with their baby as well.
