update: Nepal to release 13 SSB Soldiers.
Kathmandu: Thirteen unarmed Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) soldiers were detained by Nepal’s border guarding force along the Indo-Nepal border on Sunday.
According to sources, two of them entered a village in Jhapa, the easternmost district of Nepal, by mistake while following smugglers who were allegedly trying to take some products to Nepal without mandatory checks.
The two soldiers were first detained by the smugglers and then handed over to police at Kesna village. When 10 of their colleagues went there to get them back, they too were detained.
