NDA cabinet meets in Absence of PM, discuss Maoists, Land bill


New Delhi: While Prime Minister Narendra Modi is out of the nation on a three nation tour, the members of his cabinet came together at the National capital to discuss major issues like the Maoist attack in Chattishgarh and also discussed the strategy for the second part of the budget session of Parliament and the land bill.

The meeting was chaired by Home Minister Rajnath Singh at his residence in New Delhi and was attended by Finance minister Arun Jaitley, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari and Telecom Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad.

The ministers decided to provide all necessary support to the Chattishgarh Governement to deal with the situation arising out of the latest series of Maoist attacks on the security forces in the state. In the meeting discussions about the further steps to check the Maoist menace was also done.

The challenges faced by the Land Bill in the Parliament were also discussed in the meeting along with some other issues.
