NCB Seized 4.7 Kg Opium Worth 25 Lakh From Jalpaiguri


Jalpaiguri: Kolkata unit of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) with joint effort of Railway Police Force (RPF) apprehended a person with 4.7 kg of opium from Jalpaiguri Railway station earlier on Tuesday. The drug will cost approximately 25 lakh.

Ranjit Pal resident of Jamuribhita of Jalpaiguri. Police has intercepted him at platform number one of Jalpaiguri station. Reportedly he was carrying the drug from Mathabhanga of Cooch Behar and scheduled to reach to Malda.

The arrested will be produced before Siliguri Lower division court along with the seized drugs.
