Naxals Threaten To Kill Andhra CM & His Son

Hyderabad: Two days after the fierce encounter in Malkangiri district of Odisha in which 27 Maoists along with several of its top leaders were killed by joint team of Andhra Pradesh Greyhound and the state police, the Left Wing extremists are in a revenge mode.

The CPI (Maoist) on Thursday issued a threat and pledge to target Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and his son N. Lokesh following the encounter on the AP-Orissa border.

In a press release sent to the media and signed by CPI (Maoist),  AP State committee official spokesperson Shyam said Naidu escaped the attempt on his life at Alipiri (Chittoor district) in October 2003, but he would not be able to escape this time. “If necessary, we will use a suicide bomber to attack you (Naidu). No police or military force can save you this time,” the release said.

N Chandrababu Naidu had survived a bomb attack by Naxals in October , 2003, at Alipiri near Tirupati. He had a miraculous escape with minor injuries while three more members who were sitting in the convey were injured and rushed to hospital.

Suspected People’s War naxalites exploded improvised claymore mines targeting Naidu’s motorcade on the Tirumala ghat road.

Alleging that Andhra Pradesh CM is behind the “Killings” in Malkangiri, Shyam alleged that the food of the slain Maoists was first poisoned and then they were shot at indiscriminately.

Shyam also stated that Maoist turned gangster Nayeem who was recently killed by the Telangana police near Hyderabad was also groomed to kill Chandrababu Naidu.

The letter mentions the encounter of 21 Red sander smugglers in Sesachalam forest by Anti-Smuggling task force of Andhra Pradesh police on April  7, 2015. “Chittoor encounter is an evidence of his mastermind, 21 red sander workers were killed in Chittoor district immediately after he assumed office,” Shyam said.
