Nawaz Sharif Congratulated Former Indian PM Vajpayee For His Contribution

New Delhi: Former Pakistani premier Nawaz Sharif sent a letter of congratulations to the Former Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee for being conferred Bharat-Ratna on 26th December 2014.

In context, when Vajpayee became the Prime Minister of the India, then Nawaz sharif was also the prime minister of the India. Nawaz Sharif in his letter slatuted the former Indian Prime Minister Vajpayee for his extra-ordinary work to bring peace in between two neighbour countries.

Sharif in a letter dated December 26 paid tributes to Vajpayee. Sharif had also acknowledged and thanked him for his cooperation in connecting Delhi and Lahore through the “Dosti” Bus service, which he states wouldn’t have been “on its wheels” without Vajpayee’s efforts. The letter ends with a prayer for Vajpayee’s good health and long life.

At that time, Vajpayee went to the Lahore by the bus to normalise the situation but it went vain. Pravez Musharaf then taken the power of Pakistan through military coup and defeated the Nawaz sharif. Vajpayee and Advani then tried their best to build ties but it failed.
