New Delhi: The National Investigating Agency chief Sharad Kumar on Thursday said that the investigations carried out so far on the Udhampur terrorist attacks has not established any link between Mohammad Naveed Yakub and the Pakistani ISI.
Naveed, a Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist was nabbed by local villagers after he ambushed a BSF convoy along with another companion which left two BSF jawans dead. His companion was killed in the retaliatory fire.
Kumar said, “Naved is being interrogated in Delhi on his Pakistan links. No ISI links have been found yet, but we are ascertaining details.”
He said that the agency has evidence that he belonged to Pakistan and was a part of Lashkar-e-Taiba which trained him in the use of arms and ammunition.
