NATO Chief Hopes To Work With Trump on New Security Challenges

Brussels: NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg congratulated U.S. President elect Donald Trump on Wednesday and said U.S. leadership was “as important as ever” at times of new security challenges from hybrid warfare to cyber attacks to terrorism.

“A strong NATO is good for the United States, and good for Europe,” Stoltenberg said, stressing that the trans-Atlantic alliance must remain strong.

“I look forward to meeting Mr. Trump soon, and welcoming him to Brussels for the NATO Summit next year to discuss the way forward.”
