Chennai: Attorney general Mukul Rohatgi has advised Tamil Nadu governor Vidyasagar Rao to hold composite floor test in the Assembly pitting O Paneerselvam against Sasikala to test who commands majority to take over as the Chief Minister.

Mukul Rohatgi has cited the precedent of composite floor test between Jagadmabika Pal and Kalyan Singh in UP assembly in 1990s to support his suggestion for Tamil Nadu.
