Narada Row: HC Dissapointed Over CBI’s Report

Kolkata: Disappointed with the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) submitting an
incomplete report on the Narada issue, the Calcutta High Court has instructed the agency to submit the complete report within six weeks.

The CBI submitted a report on Friday over the Narada case filed by MP Aparupa Poddar and Iqbal Ahmed. The case is being looked upon by the single bench constituting of Justice Joymalya Bagchi.

Justice Joymalya Bagchi asked the additional solicitor general Kaushik Chandra that where is the rest of the report as they had just submitted voice sample. Then centre’s ASG requested for 6 month’s time to submit the entire report.

Rajdeep Majumder, the prosecuter’s lawyer, opposed to this and said that despite of getting a period of 8 months, the CBI could not submit the full report. Then the Justice, seeing the CBI’s report, questioned that why any application has not been made in the report seeking for extra time. The centre’s ASG could not give any reply to it. Post this, the Justice gave them 6 months’ time to submit the full report.
