Nagerbazar Explosion: Death Toll Turns 2


Kolkata: The Nagerbazar blast death toll increased with the death of fruit seller Ajit Halder. He was admitted in R G Kar hospital in a critical condition. He was among the injured in Nagerbazar blast.

Police said after the investigation, the explosive was kept in front his shop. But the who and how has will be investigated. He was an important testament for the Nagerbazar blast incident. CID official visited him when he was under treatment in R G Kar hospital and rest of the process was in hold for his recovery.

The investigating officials were hopeful to set a background of such pre-planned incident out of his words. Bibhash Ghosh, a child died in the explosion on October 2. His mother still admitted under treatment in a critical condition.

An eight-year-old boy and his mother have been killed and at least eight persons are injured in a crude bomb blast in Dumdum in West Bengal’s North 24 Parganas district on Tuesday, police said.

The blast, which took place around 9 a.m., ripped through adjacent shops, shattered window panes of nearby houses and damaged the pedestrian walk, eyewitnesses said.
