Mumbai attack: Five witnesses called in by Pak court

Islamabad: Recently the Islamabad High court had ordered to complete the hearing of the Mumbai attack within two months. Acting on the directive, five witnesses have been asked to appear before court next week.

The witnesses have been called in to give their statements in the case of Jakiur Rahman Lakhvi, the main accused of the Mumbai terror attacks. If the case is not completed within two months the bail of Lakhvi will be rejected. The government has also appointed another lawyer to finish off with the case fast.

Lakhvi was released last Friday from Adiala jail since the government failed to submit proofs against him within a stipulated time. India strongly protested against this move. Home Minister Rajnath Singh had expressed concern over the release.
