Kolkata: With the increasing distance between Mukul Roy and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, the former has been relieved of all his duties within the Trinamool Congress sacking him as the All India General Secretary of the Trinamool Congress. He has been removed from all the three important posts he had been holding in the party.

On Saturday Trinamool Supremo and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee removed Roy not only from the post of the AITC General Secretary but also from the post of the Chairman of TMC’s Parliamentary Committee and also from the position of leader of the party in Rajya Sabha.

The new 21 member working committee was constituted by Mamata at her residence in Kalighat. Mukul Roy was not given a place in the committee.

Trinamool MP Subrata Bakshi was given responsibility of All India General Secretary along with Roy, which was seen a first step towards the clipping off the wings of the TMC MP and ultimately on Saturday the former No. 2 of the ruling party virtually became Mr. ‘Nobody’ of the party echelon.
