Mukul Roy removed as TMC All India General Secretary

Kolkata: For the very first time, Mukul Roy was quoted making a statement against his present party and the State Government. TMC’s former chairman of Rajya Sabha, Mukul Roy lashed out at TMC and the comment made by Abhishek Banerjee, the nephew of Mamata Banerjee on the occasion of Eid. Roy pointed his finger at the TMC saying that there have been things which are yet to be done by the new state government. He also said that when he was associated with the party, there were a lots of development in Bengal.  Mukul Roy made the statement at Jama Masjid. Tauha Siddiqui was also present at the event with Mukul Roy. Tauha had also presented Mukul Roy with a fez cap on the occasion of Eid. He also stated Abhishek Banerjee’s comment of Kishenji getting killed at the time of Mamata’s reign as a comment made by ‘young boy’.

Such a statement by Mukul has added to the controversy of his leaving the TMC and forming a new party of his own. Earlier, it was estimated that Roy might form his own party after Eid and the statement on the very day of EID has undoubtedly opened a new chapter of bitterness between Mukul and Mamata.
