Is Mukul-Ritabrata-Adhir Going To Put New Equation?

New Delhi: One time Mamata’s close aid, Mukul Roy had said that if I remain on the crease, then run comes automatically.  Not worried about that. After the resignation of TMC crisis manager Mukul Roy, many think that Mukul may join BJP or may found new team ahead of poll which also helps BJP. Now he wishes to resign from Rajya Sabha at New Delhi. Mukul also meet with State congress president Adhir Chowdhury and suspended CPM leader Ritabrata.

After this meet, the question is being raised among political think tanks that will Mukul-Ritabrata-Adhir form new party? These create speculation among politicians. Speculations doing rounds are that he will form an independent party or may join the BJP.

Earlier, Mukul Roy had termed the BJP as a secular party and said the TMC would not have tasted success without its backing at the national level during the initial years.

Terming Roy as a “traitor trying to weaken the party”, Partha Chatterjee questioned, “Why is he making such statements now? Why he didn’t say such things when he was in the party, when he was made the railways minister? Actually he is making desperate attempts to please the BJP and get into its good books. We called him a traitor and he himself proved it.”

Partha Chatterjee challenged Roy to contest elections from any assembly seat in the state. “Instead of making such comments like a traitor, why doesn’t he contest election from any of the 294 assembly seats in Bengal? We will see if he is able to win it. He is no one without the support of Mamata Banerjee,” Partha Chatterjee said.
