Kolkata: The TMC All India General Secretary finally breaks the jinx of Friday. As Srinjoy Bose and Madan Mitra were arrested on Friday, an unknown fear gripped Mukul Roy before stepping into the CGO complex. Trinamool camp heaved a sigh of relief as its No. 2 came out of CGO complex in Salt Lake with a smiling face. According to sources, Roy was grilled for over four hours by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). In an overcast condition Mukul Roy entered the CBI complex around 10:40 am. Coming out, head held high he spoke to the media and said, “I want the truth to come out.”
However the political sector of Bengal held a mixed reaction towards the happenings of the CGO complex.
This is how the Political sector reacted:-
Abdul Mannan (PCC leader): It is fortunate that though a belated move, at last Mukul behaves wisely. From his comments it is clear that he wants that all victims should get their money back. He also said that it was good to see Mukul helping the investigators. He also hoped that Mukul Roy will tell the names of the culprits to the investigators.
Pradip Ghosh(BJP Leader): Mukul Roy went to CBI for the sake of investigation. What happened during the investigation cannot be known. CBI has not yet termed Roy as a culprit or as an innocent. Poor people’s money has been robbed. Investigation will prove who the culprit is and who is not.
Shamik Bhattacharya(BJP MLA): Not only Mukul, everybody wants to help in the investigation. He ridiculed Roy by saying that many in TMC have claimed that they are helping the CBI.
Md. Salim(CPI(M) MP): Mukul Roy could have appeared before. For the past 15 days he had tried to keep documents under cover. If he fully helps the CBI then it will be dangerous for Mamata Banerjee.
Shyamal Chakraborty (CITU leader): If Mukul Roy and other TMC leaders tell CBI about their crimes, and then it would be known how they have robbed Bengal. If he becomes the state witness then it will be better.
Arunava Ghosh (Congress leader): CBI is targeting neither Mukul nor Madan. Their target is Mamata Banerjee.
