New Delhi: Madhya Pradesh home minister Babulal Gaur landed in trouble and was criticized for his controversial dhoti remark made at a state level BJP convention.

Congress criticized Gaur for the remark terming it very shameful. “It is shameful what Gaur has said. He has been making such comments about women time and time again. This exposes his and his party’s mindset as far as women are concerned. Gaur should immediately apologize for his comment,” Congress spokesperson Shobha Oza told.

On Sunday, 85-year-old Gaur had reportedly disclosed to party workers that he had once told the wife of a Russian leader that though he couldn’t show her how to wear a dhoti, he could teach her how to remove it.
