Kolkata: West Bengal signs MoU with Bhutan’s Druk Airlines for the onstart of air services between Andal and Bhutan at the Bengal Global Business Summit on Saturday at Kolkata.
According to sources, Druk Airlines had earlier announced to provide flight service to Andal airport. On Saturday they confirmed the service by signing MoU with Bengal Aerotropolis Project limited (BAPL) at Bengal Global Business Summit. As per the agreement, plane will fly from Andal airport to Bhutan’s Paro airport. Besides flight services, they will also use Andal airport as a technical stoppage. They can park and refuel planes at Andal airport.
According to BAPL, Andal airport will now do good business. They are also planning to start flight services between south India, Singapore and Dubai.
