Mothers are not child making machine: Bhagwat


Kanpur: After a controversial remark by BJP leader and MP from Unnao in Uttar Pradesh Shakshi Maharaj over a month ago, the RSS chief lashed out at him saying “our mothers are not child making machine”.
Shakshi Maharaj known for his hardliner remarks, had commented earlier that every Hindu woman should give birth to at least 4 children to protect the dwindling Hindu population.
Bhagwat addressing 300 members of the Sangh Parivar at Kanpur during “Manthan” criticized Sakshi Maharaj over his irresponsible remarks. Bhagwat said, every people have the right to express their thought but they should use the privilege judiciously. Bhagwat emphasized on woman involvement in the Sangh activities.
Addressing the meet at Kanpur on Monday the Sangh chief said that PM Narendra Modi is an extremely efficient and determined person. The meet was attended by many prominent leaders like Lakshmi Kant Vajpayee, Sunil Bansal and Shiv Prakash.
Earlier in a public gathering at Meerut Shakshi Maharaj called the Hindu Women to give birth to at least 4 children to save Hinduism. After controversy gripped the remarks BJP washed hand by saying that the remarks are the personal view of Shakshi Maharaj and the party has nothing to do with it.
