Modi’s 3-Nation Visit: Indonesia & India To Hold Bilateral Meeting On Wednesday

Jakarta:  Prime Minister Modi is currently on a three-nation visit to Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore and today he arrived at Merdeka Palace and warmaly welcomed by Indonesian President Joko Widodo.

Earlier PM Narendra Modi paid tribute at Kalibata National Heroes’ Cemetery in Jakarta. This is his first official engagement in Indonesia by laying a wreath at the Kalibata National Heroes Cemetery here on Wednesday.

“The Government of India attaches high importance to its relations with the ASEAN region and is committed to deepening its relationship with individual ASEAN member states, within the framework of Government’s Act East Policy. The visit would enable the Leaders to discuss bilateral, regional and international issues of mutual interest,” the MEA said in a statement.
