Modi visits Belur Math, tours entire math bare footed


Kolkata: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday morning visited Dwakhineswar Kali Temple and stayed there for quite some time. After visting Dwakshineswar, he visited Belur Math Ramkrishna Mission. He stayed there for nearly one hour.

He visited the room of Swami Vivekananda and also meditated at his room. He entered the Upasana Griha of Belur Math and stayed there for nearly 15 minutes. He visited the entire math barefooted.

After visiting Belur Math he has left  for Asansol in an IAF chopper. At Asansol he will be attending the expansion project of IISCO Steel plant. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Union Minister and Asansol MP Babul Supriyo will be present at the event.
