Modi to to hold NITI Aayog’s meeting on Wednesday


New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called for a meeting of NITI Aayog’s governing council meeting on Wednesday where he is likely to discuss the Land acquisition bill with the Chief Ministers.

According to PMO statement, “The Prime Minister will chair second meeting of Governing Council of NITI Aayog tomorrow morning at 7, Race Course Road.”

Modi will also be holding separate meeting with the Chief Ministers of the North-Eastern states. The NITI Ayog is headed by the Prime Minister and comprises of all the  Chief Ministers and Lt Governors of Union Territories.

Along with the land acquisition bill, the council will also hold meetings on issues like poverty, health and centrally sponsored schemes (CSS). The council is also likely to review the work done by three sub-groups of chief ministers and two task forces under the NITI Aayog.
