New Delhi: In the first major reshuffle since coming to power, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will induct 19 new ministers in his government tomorrow.
The new ministers were identified from various walks of life, who will bring their unique rich experience and expertise to their office, the government said.
The Council of Ministers has 66 members including the PM; constitutionally, the most it can have is 82. So the Prime Minister is likely to drop a few ministers. The resignations are likely to be accepted today.
Those who are likely to join the government met through the day with BJP chief Amit Shah. In the evening, Mr Shah visited the office of his party’s ideological mentor – the RSS or Rashtryia Swayamsewak Sangh – to seek its endorsement for the new list.
