NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the inaugural of the Paris climate summit on November 30. More than 80 heads of states and governments from across the globe will attend this summit, where the countries are expected to sign a global climate deal in December.
Paris climate summit is scheduled to conclude on December 11. Modi’s visit to Paris to attend the inaugural of the summit was announced on Tuesday by the French ambassador in India, Francois Richier. He tweeted that Modi would be in Paris on November 30 for COP21, together with more than 80 heads of state and government.
The ambassador also said in his tweet that Modi’s visit to Paris was confirmed by the French foreign affairs and international development minister Laurent Fabius on Tuesday.
