Mumbai: Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray on Thursday made an explosive claim, alleging that the Bharatiya Janata Party government was in talks with absconding mafia don Dawood Ibrahim Kaskar to get him back to India. The BJP is trying to get Dawood back to take advantage ahead of the 2019 General Elections.

Launching a Facebook page so that he stays connected with the MNS cadres, Thackeray claimed: “Dawood wants to come back to India. He is involved in talks with the Centre regarding this. He himself wants to come back to India as he is Dawood is now very sick and crippled, and wants to die here. While Dawood wants to come back on his own, the BJP will use it by getting him back before the elections to get votes.”

“It is he (Dawood) who is keen to return… But, the BJP will claim credit for this to win the next elections,” Thackeray predicted.”They (BJP) will say, see Congress could not get him back, but we did it after so many years.”

The MNS chief also launched a tirade against PM Narendra Modi for launching Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train, calling it a waste of money. He asked why the bullet train was from Mumbai to Ahmedabad and not to any other part of the country. The MNS chief hinted at an ulterior motive behind it.
