Modi Breaks Silence on Dadri Lynching


Patna: Silencing critics Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday broke his silence over the Dadri killing during his address to the crowed at a Bihar election campaign rally.

“The President has shown us the way,” the PM referring to President Pranab Mukjherjee’s speech on Wednesday highlighting the need for the core values of India’s civilisation to be protected. “We should follow the path shown by President Pranab.”

The Prime Minister made the reference to the Dadri killings during his last rally at Nawada, Bihar today.

Mr. Modi said that games were being played for political reasons. “I want to appeal to everyone to not listen to hate speeches,” Mr.Modi said.

“The country has to stay united. Only harmony and brotherhood will take the nation forward. Hindus and Muslims should work together to fight poverty,” said PM Modi against backdrop of Dadri incident.

“Follow President Pranab Mukherjee’s message on core civilisational values of diversity, tolerance and plurality”, the Prime Minister said.
