Kolkata: Several rallies are scheduled in the city on Wednesday from the morning. But that will not effect the traffic in the city. However, in the evening, rallies in South, Central and North Kolkata might affect the traffic in the city, as per the Kolkata traffic police. Presently, traffic is normal.
As per the traffic police, a programme is scheduled at Mayo Road at 10 am. But it will not have any effect in traffic. After that the next rally is at 4 pm. It will proceed from Golpark Ramkrishna Mission peacefully towards 8-B bus stand. It will cross via Gariahat road, Dhakuria bridge and Raja Subodh Mullick Square road. At around 4, there is another programme at Shahid Minar maidan. The crowd will come from Howrah bridge, Sealdah station, Rani Rashmoni Square and Sankharitola.
Next rally is in North Kolkata at 5pm from Hedua park to Sraddhanandan park. It will go via Bidhan Sarani which is Hatibagan, College Street Bata, Keshab Chandra Sen Street and Raja Rammohan Roy Sarani.
Moderate traffic expected in the evening from South to North Kolkata. If these scheduled rallies and programmes carries on till 4:30 pm, it might have an effect in the evening.
