Mobile Internet Service Suspended in Kashmir


Srinagar: In the wake of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Kashmir tour, authorities have suspended mobile internet services in the valley on Saturday. The service providers received queries as the mobile internet services suddenly stopped working.

The internet services were suspended as a security precaution, a top intelligence agency source told IANS. “The services will remain suspended till the Prime Minister’s rally ends in Srinagar,” the source said.

Meanwhile independent legislator Engineer Rashid was detained in Srinagar after he staged a protest against Mr. Modi’s visit.
