Kolkata: A smoke was found emitting from the 2nd floor of the Emergency section of the R.G. Kar Medical College and Hospital on Monday.
The smoke triggered panic among the people and hospital staff, following which they started evacuating the building. But as per latest sources, the situation was brought under control soon.
As per sources, a minor fire broke out in the garbage of the 2nd floor. The fire tenders were immediately pressed into service who took immediate measures and brought the fire under control.
