Kolkata: In an unique way to protest the consumption of beef, the West Bengal state BJP has organized a milk party in Kolkata’s Dharmatala area on November 8. The cow development cell of the party is organizing the party.
Earlier on the day, BJP had posted posters across the city protesting cow slaughter and beef consumption drawing flak from the opposition parties. BJP has termed the move as a form of protest by the Hindu community.
The party said that if organizing beef festival is not crime protesting the festival too is the right of people.
This move by the BJP came after a beef party was organized in Kolkata’s Dharmatala area and was attended by CPM leader and former Mayor of Kolkata Bikash Ranjan Bhattacharya, Poet Subodh Sarkar and Abdul Rezzak Mollah.
