Mid day sleep enhances memory

A recent study has found out that in middle ages, sleeping during the day can protect the mind against decline. A sound sleep helps enhance memory and learning.

For the study the researchers began with studies in 1967 including approximately 200 studies measuring sleep and mental functioning.

Participants aged 18 to 29 were categorized as young; aged 30 to 60 as middle-aged; and older than 60 as old.
