Kolkata: As per priority of the market, Microsoft unveiled its first priority re seller store in E-Mall Chandni Chowk at Kolkata on Wednesday. The company also announced its new power-packed smartphone, Lumia 540 Dual Sim at the same occasion.
The newly launched store marks the beginning of Microsoft’s journey to becoming a consumer brand, reaching out to millions of consumers via the existing retail footprint. India is the first country to roll out the new look for retail. The transition is being made across a toatl of 8872 stores and 119 care centres. Out of the total number of outlets in this country 441 outlets are now getting a completely new design while the remaining stores are being refreshed with new signage by end of June 2015. 94 stores located in the east region and 11 in Kolkata that will transitioned to Microsoft brand stores.
The stylish new Lumia 540 is a mid-range smartphone that delivers high end performance at a best buy price of 10,199 Rs. Its a Windows 8.1 phone and is upgradable to Windows 10 will be launched later this year.
