Kolkata: Chief minister Mamata Banerjee made trading easier for medium and small scale entrepreneurs on Wednesday. She introduced the micro business credit card to facilitate trade. Entrepreneurs will get the loan from the State Bank of India who has extended the support to the state government for the first time.
According to the scheme, small and medium entrepreneurs will be able to avail a cash credit or loan up to Rs 5 lakhs and no guarantee would be required to avail this micro business credit card scheme.
Congratulating SBI, along with the finance minister, finance department secretary and the finance department officials for the first of its kind initiative in the country, the CM said that one should take care of the small things before targeting the big things as it is from the small things that grows big. “A fund of Rs 200 crore has been prepared for this business,” the CM said.
