Metro resumes service, airport starts operation


Kolkata: The metro services have been resumed and Dumdum airport again started operating, after a 7.4 magnitude quake jolted the city on Tuesday.

Authorities have halted the services following the quake in the city. The quake with epicenter in Nepal jolted many parts of India and Bangladesh on Tuesday around 12:36 pm.

The shocks were felt at West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. So far 4 people have been killed in Nepal and two in India due to the quake.
