Siliguri & Cooch Behar: Two political heavy weights will be addressing two separate gatherings at the two ends of North Bengal keeping in mind the upcoming election.
CM Mamata Banerjee and BJP President Amit Shah will be addressing tight packed audience and the general public excitement revolving around it is high. Speculations have already started and everyone is keeping themselves updated.  The mercury is soaring high on the political scenario of Bengal.

Amit Shah’s visit to North Bengal is significant as the party is keeping in mind the upcoming panchayat and the parliamentary election to be scheduled in 2019. Trinamul Congress (TMC) is not lagging behind either. TMC is gearing up to give a tight competition to the national party.

CM will be addressing a mass gathering at Cooch Behar. She would be laying the foundation stone of Nripendra Narayan Medical College following which she will address another gathering of Kamtapur Peoples’ Partyat Rammela Maidan. Later she will be a part of a government’s programme at Chakchaka Industrial Centre ground.

At the other end, BJP President will be addressing a political gathering at Siliguri. There is a lot of excitement revolving around it. In the political perspective, it is to see not only what these political personalities say about their respective party’s agenda but also to see how they politically attack each other. As per TMC sources, CM is on a four day visit to Cooch Behar and Alipurduar.  And Amit Shah reached Siliguri.

According to BJP sources, strengthening the party’s grip in Bengal soil is very important.
Shah is here to beef up the organizational structure of the saffron brigade. He is accompanied by BJP national president Shiv Prakash, BJP national secretary in charge of Bengal Kailash Vijayvargiya, Rahul Singa, Sunil Pujari, state president Dilip Ghosh and central minister Surinder Singh Aluwalia.

Shah went straight to Naxalbari after landing at the airport. He will be at Siliguri indoor stadium for a meeting. He is scheduled to meet eight leaders of North Bengal. Shah will return to Kolkata after the meeting.
