Mentally Challenged Man Climbs EMU Train Atop, Electrocuted In Chinsurah


Chinsurah: A mentally challenged man was electrocuted when he touched a high-voltage overhead electrical line on the roof of an EMU train at the Chinsurah Station on Thursday.

Firemen recover the charred body of a man from the roof of a local train at the Chinsurah station on Friday morning. The mentally disturbed man walked for a while on the roof before touching a pantograph. He died on the spot. Train services were disrupted for some time.

According to sources, a mentally challenged man climbs atop at Bandel local in Chinsurah station and gets electrocuted on Thursday. Train services disrupted at Howrah-Burdwan main line. RPF reached the spot immediately and recovered the body and launched an investigation.
